Lateral Repair

Lateral Repair

A lateral is the pipe that collects waste from drains inside of a property and conveys it from the building out to the larger sewer pipe in the street, or to a self-contained system, like a septic tank. In addition to inspecting and cleaning building drains, NASSCO-Certified professionals assess conditions and maintain laterals from the clean-out near the building out to the mainline sewer in the street to ensure the entire system is free of blockages, deteriorated pipes are addressed, and potential overflows are prevented.

Thanks to innovations in lateral repair, there are now technologies that do not require digging up and replacing pipes. The old pipe can be recycled using something called trenchless technology. Learn more.
